All that glitters really is gold

Written by Tania Braukamper

Can’t you just hear the commanding voice of Dame Shirley Bassey quivering in your ear: he’s the man / the man with the Midas touch?

Most every photoshoot has it’s piece de resistance, it’s masterstroke – and amidst the glitter and the warpaint, the silver and the bronze, it’s this shot that stands out most in Remik Kozdra and Kasia Baczulis pictorial for Papercut Magazine. This is nudity as art, evoking one of those iconic moments in cinematic history. But it is, in a sense, also nudity as fashion: for even sans clothing, Kozdra and Baczulis capture a seasonal mood – that of geology and metallic tones – by transposing it not to clothing but to the skin in a breathtaking way. All that glitters may not be gold, but this shoot sure is.
